Gaza,(DRAH.ps)—Division of Refugee Affairs in Hamas DRAH initiated on Tuesday, 10 May 2016, photos exhibition that presents photos of the Palestinian Nakba taken place in 1948 at hands of Israeli occupation.
The Exhibition includes historical photographs that have not been showed before, beside photos from the ottoman era.
Essam Adwan, the chairman of DRAH, as well as other national and official characters initiated the exhibition under media coverage.
Adwan said that the exhibition shows Nakba, and it emphasizes the culture of the Palestinian people, and it's adherence to this land. It displays images that embody cultural, economic, military, political, and social life of the Palestinians since the Ottoman period, through British Zionist.
He added that such activity lead viewers to imagine the life of the Palestinians before and after the Nakba.
For his part, Director of DRAH who is the supervisor of the exhibition, Abdallah Hassouna said "that the photos displayed inside the exhibition are more than 200 images, obtained from private sources, and have not been displayed before, where these images embody the life of Palestinians during the Ottoman Covenant, and their life in the Nakba, which aspire them for more resistance to the Israeli occupation"
Hassouna added that a number of institutions participated in the exhibition includes and they offer in the corners some of the Palestinian heritage such as food and stuff , embroideries and handwork, which will be available to the public until late next Thursday.
He said that a documentary will be displayed about the Palestinian Nakba in the exhibition.
